Strategic Partnerships for Community Orchards

Partnerships can be a powerful way to grow and sustain community orchards—but only when they’re the right fit. In this one-hour workshop, Aleah Likas will walk community orchard stewards through practical, real-world strategies for building partnerships that truly align with their mission. Together, we’ll explore how to identify potential partners whose values and CSR goals match your work, and how to approach them in ways that make saying “yes” easy and meaningful.

The workshop will also focus on how to make the most of partnerships once they’re established. Participants will learn how to activate partners through hands-on opportunities like volunteer events, use simple tools to help partners share and amplify orchard stories, and leverage existing relationships to open doors to new, mission-aligned connections. Stewards will leave with clear ideas, helpful tools, and more confidence to build partnerships that support both their orchard and their community.
