Below is a list of trees available for sale TODAY ONLY (April 24, 2024) and FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE. Before purchasing a tree, please refer to this checklist to see if your yard meets proper fruit tree qualifications!

Liberty Apple- $125

‘Liberty’ Apple: Liberty is very similar in appearance to McIntosh, but its flavor is a bit more tart, and its flesh is crisper. It has a wonderful flavor all its own. It is a good, dependable choice because it is highly productive, keeps well, and is resistant to all the major apple diseases. It ripens early-mid-September, fruit is 1/3-1/2lb.

  • Pollination: Needs a companion tree for pollination /early-mid season flowering

  • Height: 12-15 ft. tall

  • Light Requirement: Full sun

Pristine Apple- $125

‘Pristine’ Apple: This PRI (Purdue, Rutgers, and Illinois Universities) selection ripens early, producing large crops of yellow apples that are crisp and tasty. They are mildly tart and excellent for fresh eating, baking, or applesauce. The trees are healthy, highly resistant to apple scab and cedar apple rust, and somewhat resistant to powdery mildew and fireblight. Ripens early July, fruit is 1/3lb.

  • Height: 12-15 ft. tall

  • Light Requirement: Full sun

Enterprise Apple- $125

‘Enterprise’ Apple: A glossy red apple with an excellent flavor that improves with storage. The tree is productive, vigorous, and spreading. Fruit ripens late, late season. It is an excellent choice due to its disease resistance (immune to scab and resistant to fireblight, cedar apple rust and mildew), and it stores well. Ripens mid-late September, fruit is 2/3 – 1lb.

  • Pollination: Needs a companion tree for pollination, mid to late-season flowering

  • Height: 12-15 ft. tall

  • Light Requirement: Full sun

Blake’s Pride European Pear- $125

‘Blake’s Pride’ Pear: Aromatic and juicy fruit. Yellow to golden skin. Resistant to fireblight. Ripens mid-season. Excellent keeping variety. Ripens early August, fruit is 1/3lb.

  • Pollination: Needs a companion tree for pollination

  • Height: 18-20 ft. tall

  • Light Requirement: Full sun

Warren European Pear- $125

‘Warren’ European Pear: Medium to large, long-necked fruit. Faded green to red blush in color. Sweet, spicy and very juice, buttery flesh with no grit. Named for Thomas O. Warren, the founding father of North American Fruit Explorers who discovered the fruit in Mississippi. Resistant to fireblight and is cold hardy. Ripens late August to early September; fruit is ½ - 2/3lb.

  • Light Requirement: Full sun

Shenandoah European Pear- $125

‘Shenandoah’ European Pear: Large, sweet pear that has a snappy flavor that mellow with storage. Sweet, aromatic and juicy. Stores well for four months if properly chilled. Matures in late summer. Fireblight resistant. Developed by Agricultural Research Services horticulturist, Richard Bell in 2003, named after the river. Ripens early September, and fruit is 1/2lb.  

  • Pollination: Needs a companion tree for pollination

  • Height: 10-15 ft. tall

  • Light Requirement: Full sun

Li Jujube- $125

‘Li’ Jujube: Produces largest, gold-ball-sized fruits of the jujube variety. Round-shaped fruit that is reddish brown. Sweet and crisp flesh when ripe in the fall that can be eaten fresh or dried.  Drought-resistant, thorny, and virtually pest and disease-free. Self-fruitful, but yield will increase with another jujube variety.

  • Pollination: Self-fertile, but additional jujube variety will increase yield

  • Height: 15-20 ft. tall

  • Light Requirement: Full sun

Hazelnut- $125

Hazelnut ‘Corylus americana’: Easy growing native shrub with edible nuts in late summer. As a wind-pollinated species it is recommended to plant multiple for optimal production.

  • Pollination: Self-infertile, additional Hazelnut variety will increase yield

  • Height: 6-12 ft. tall

  • Light Requirement: Part shade

Clove Currant- $75

Clove Currant ‘Crandall’: Fast growing fruiting shrub with edible blue-black currants that ripen in summer. Yellow spring flowers that smell of clove and feature reddish-purple fall foliage. Drought tolerant.

  • Pollination: Self-fertile

  • Height: 3-4 ft. tall

  • Light Requirement: Full sun

Fig- $75

Fig ‘Chicago Hardy’: Cold hardy plant producing small brown to purple figs. Easy growing and drought-resistant when established.

  • Height: 6-12 ft. tall
